The EGNOS System Test Bed
(ESTB) will interrupt transmission on PRN 131 starting
from Friday the 27th of May 2005. Consequently, ESA
is planning the migration of the SISNeT platform from
the ESTB to EGNOS before that date.
A three-step approach will be followed:
Step 1. SISNeT will monitor only the AOR-E GEO satellite
(PRN 120) instead of IOR (PRN 131).
Step 2. SISNeT will provide access to the AOR-E (PRN
120), Artemis (PRN 124) and IOR-W (PRN 126) satellites
simultaneously, through three different ports.
Step 3. The SISNeT Data Server will be upgraded from
current version 2.1 to a new version 3.1 (ESA will make
the new UID 3.1 available with enough advance).
In particular, Step 1 will be completed on Thursday
the 26th of May 2005. The SISNeT platform will start
then monitoring the AOR-E (PRN120) Geostationary satellite,
instead of IOR (PRN 131). The PRN120 transmission will
be accessible at the usual IP address 131.176.49.142,
at the usual port 7777 and employing the current SISNeT
Data Server Version 2.1. The test version of the SISNeT
Data Server V3.0 (previously available at port 7778
for testing purposes) will become unnaccessible starting
from the 26th of May 2005.
Steps 2 and steps 3 shoud be available this summer
2005 (precise dates to be communicated to you soon).
We will inform all sisnet users by e-mail, and also
through the SISNeT Website, before and after the implementation
of the three migration steps.
Please, notice that during the whole 26th of May 2005,
minor interruptions in the SISNeT Service may take place.
